'Iron Man' Review
The latest in a string of comic book heroes to hit our screens in recent years is Iron Man. Iron man is about Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) the Billionaire owner of Stark Industries, a weapons manufacturing company, who turns himself into a superhero after being held captive by enemy soldiers and seeing the destruction his weapons cause first hand.
The film has an edgier feel to other comic book adaptations and the plot seems more plausible. Well, slightly more plausible anyway. The action sequences are thrilling and the visually stunning. And unlike other super heroes Iron man is not clean cut; he is sleazy and arrogant, yet somehow irresistible.
This is largely due to the brilliant portrayal of Robert Downey Jr. in the lead role as Iron Man, who wreaks charisma in the role. The supporting cast of Gwyneth Paltrow as his lovely assistant Pepper Potts and Jeff Bridges as Stark Industries chief executive turned evil super-villain Obadiah Stane are equally brilliant.
It is the film’s gritty, real-life feel and the outstanding performances of its cast that put this film ahead of the game when it comes to comic book adaptations. It is a fresh face in a worn out genre.
7/10

Good review, I was unsure about this movie.
Just saw Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist, I thought it was decent but I have always been a fan of Michael Cera thanks to Arrested Development.
This is one of the best movie I have seen. Love the graphic and the story
Thanks for the review. I will add this movie to my 'watch list', seems to be a good one.

I wasn't able to watch ironman :(
Iron Man was really awesome. It was worth the time I waited for the release of the movie. It's listed in my favourite movies list. It's the best one for 2008 together with Eagle Eye. I have some movie reviews on my blog too, check them out.
this is the best show i watch this year. like the show very much.
A well written review that perfectly summed up the movie. I thought that this was one of the better comic book adaptations that I have seen in recent times. Robert Downey Jnr's portrayal of Iron Man was fascinating to watch. Loads of action and special effects that kept the pace of the movie flowing and the audience engaged.
I like this movie...never thought they can bring Iron-man on screen. they really revived the iron man
I look forward to seeing Robert (who's one of my ab-fab actors) ever since "less then zero". Great review.
Love this movie. Good pacing. Doesn't blow up stuff just for the heck of it. This movie made me like Robert Downey. He was really good here.
